ABOUT

I am a Social Science researcher with experience in both quantitative and qualitative research collection, organization, and analysis.

I have over 5 years of experience constructing datasets using vital statistics and Census data and analyzing models using STATA software. I also have 3 years of experience collecting in-depth qualitative data through interviews and participant observation and analyzing these data using NVIVO. I have also worked on multiple research teams dedicated to creating research and reports for the general public ranging in topic from health to housing to policy. Finally, I have a background in City Planning, Sociology, and Demography which enables me to think critically about how place, population, and behavior impact individual and population outcomes.

Born and bred in the small town of Perry, NY, I ventured out to Columbus for college. What I did not anticipate was that I would soon fall in love with the city more than anything. It is in Columbus where I realized my passion and interests in studying the interactions between people and the places they populate. After completing my undergraduate in City Planning from The Ohio State University, I decided to pursue my PhD. in Sociology with a focus in Demography, which I completed in May 2020, in the middle of the COVID-19 Pandemic. Currently, I am a survey statistician at the U.S. Census Bureau within the American Community Survey Office.

This is Pastor, my best pawed pal in Galicia, and me. You will see my corgi-shepherd mix, Pancho, sprinkled across the pages of this website. I don’t always talk about him, but if you ask, I will tell you everything you need to know.
